NHS North West London invites the Grenfell-affected community to help shape future health services

NHS North West London has reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the health and wellbeing of the North Kensington community through the launch of the North Kensington Programme 2025-29. This initiative focuses on developing a recovery plan led by the community, ensuring future health services are culturally sensitive, transparent, and reflective of local needs.

For more than seven years, survivors, bereaved families, and local residents have played a crucial role in shaping the health services we provide. This invaluable collaboration has guided us in creating a foundation of care that meets the community’s unique needs. We now invite the community to work with us once again to shape the next phase of these essential services.

The programme’s key objectives include:

  • Developing culturally appropriate, clinically evidence-led Grenfell-specific health services
  • Ensuring accountability and transparency in resource allocation
  • Fostering ongoing community engagement throughout 2025 and beyond.

Your opportunity to get involved

Residents, survivors, and bereaved families are encouraged to participate in shaping the future of local health services. Here’s how you can contribute:

  1. Complete the survey
    Share your views on the health services you need. The survey is available in English, Arabic, and French for both survivors and bereaved families, as well as North Kensington residents. Access the survey at www.grenfell.nhs.uk/nextsteps.
  2. Attend in-person events
    Join us at consultation events in January 2025:
    • For survivors and bereaved:  Wednesday 22 January 2025, 6 - 8 pm, at Avondale Park Primary School, School House, Sirdar Road, W11 4EE
    • For North Kensington residents: Thursday, 23 January 2025, 6 - 8 pm, at Morley College, Wornington Road, London W10 5QQ

  • Adult long-term respiratory health monitoring
  • Children and young people’s health monitoring
  • Emotional wellbeing support
  • Care coordination and physical health services.
