Extended GP services in West London - important details
Residents across West London now have access to GP and practice nurse appointments from 6pm-9pm, Monday to Friday and from 8am-8pm on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
These new extended hours are in addition to existing GP services, meaning that residents can now access primary care services seven days a week, through their own GP practice and from:

Patients can access these extended access appointments by calling their GP practice to book an appointment or by calling NHS 111 when their own practice is closed. Urgent Care Centres (UCC) and A&E departments will also be able to direct patients to the service at the weekends, where clinically appropriate. Work is underway to enable UCCs to directly book appointments for people who do not require emergency care.
It is hoped that these additional GP appointments will help to relieve pressure on hospital emergency departments and UCCs as well as provide more convenient access to routine general practice for patients.
